Hello, My name is Sabrina Young and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 8 years experience. Previously, I have worked in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis as a mental health therapist or social worker for children, adolescents, adults and families. I have worked in an outpatient office working with the Allen Co. jail system, group meetings, and doing individual and family sessions. Then, while in Indianapolis area I served children, adolescents and their families as a Mental Health Therapist in both schools and outpatient offices. Also, while in Indianapolis I serves as an Emergency Department Social Worker for around 3 years. I have worked with clients with a wide presentation of needs and concerns including, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, parenting struggles, career and workplace challenges, family and relationship struggles, ADHD, OCD, short term crisis. Additionally, I have helped those experiencing struggles with women’s issues, negative self-esteem, self-worth, and self-image. I enjoy helping those who may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, unsure of what to do with various life stressors and struggles, and that may be stuck in a negative mindset.
My counseling style is warm and very client centered. I believe everyone has a voice and a story to tell, and I am there to listen without judgment. I believe in treating all people with respect, compassion, and empathy. I will tailor my treatment plan to be individualized for your unique and specific needs and goals. I am here to help you and want you to be happy with your treatment. In my practice I try to focus on the individual I’m serving and meet their goal focused needs. I utilize positive motivation to promote change from within. Using a motto of “I’ll be a hand up, not a hand out,†I try to focus on improving the whole person, not just masking things.
I believe it takes an extreme amount of courage to seek help and I am ready to assist and empower you in any way I can.
